I love high speed HDDs. My gaming rig at home has a 74GB raptor for XP, with a 500GB for storage. It is actually a really noisy drive and 3m away from my bed I can hear it running (torrent downloading at night).
My raptor is now outclassed by some high capacity 7200rpm HDDs which offer way more bang for the buck. If I was to do a computer now, I would probably just use a 1TB HDD for both OS and storage. But this new HDD by Western Digital is one impressive HDD, with a 35% performance increase over my raptor.
This HDD also has a mean time before failure (MTBF) of 1.4million hours, making it impressively long lasting. This is going to be the HDD of choice for speed freaks. I don't need to upgrade my HDD, but those looking to build a new rig could do a lot worse than two of these drives in Raid 0.
Anyone planning on buying this drive?

300GB 10000K Western Digital VelociRaptor - AWESOME!
Ultra-high resolution screens.
Those who have read my N82 review would know my penchant for high pixel density screens (heck, I want a 2560 x 1600 display on a 17inch notebook), and this has to be one of the highest dpi (dots per inch) screens I have ever seen:
http://www.nec-lcd.com/en/release/release_080414.html
That is a 2.7inch display with a staggering 960 x 540 resolution, with a brightness of 300 cd/m2. That gives a dpi of 413 pixels per inch. I cannot imagine just how clear that would look. I would love this screen on a phone. I am sure that battery would take a major hit, but I would carry spares for a screen like this.
How many other people like high resolution screens?
